Version 1.3.0 - Released 18 August 2020

Here's a rundown of all the changes we've made to BurnRate in Version 1.3.0, which we released on 18 August 2020. For those of you keeping track, this is our 45th release to Production.

  • NEW: Monday Morning Briefing:
    • Next Monday, you will start receiving a weekly email (powered by our partner Courier) that summarizes all of the hiring motions you need to stay on top of this month. As your growth continues, and you need to add more and more revenue every month, this becomes incredibly important to be aware of.
      • We are working to allow you to manage your Notification settings to unsubscribe from these emails if you wish. That should be rolled out by the time these emails go live next week.
  • UPDATED: People Algorithm:
    • Continuing our algorithm improvements, we've made it possible to start the ARR calculation to start from a date other than the end of 2019. This was our #1 feature request, so thanks for all your feedback!
      • We will let you change the setting yourself in a follow up release in the coming days. In the meantime, drop us a line if you'd like to update your model before then.
  • UPDATED: Hiring Plan:
    • We updated the Squad Goals section to differentiate between total AE headcount and AEs that are currently earning (Ramping Up and At Quota). We also adjusted the Deals per Rep line of the Dealflow section to calculate this number based on Earning AEs, not AEs that are Hired (technically part of the company) but still Onboarding.
    • In the Assumptions column, we lowered the minimums for dependent Roles. This will allow you to set your SDR:AE ratio to 1:1, for example.
      • We're rolling out the ability to set the ratio to 2:1 or 3:1 in the coming weeks.
  • UPDATED: Multiple Scenarios
    • We fixed several issues where the Scenarios dropdown in the Navigation bar was behaving inconsistently. It will now load consistently, refresh as needed, and show the correct Scenario selection.
    • We've laid the groundwork for allowing you to copy your current Assumptions into a new Scenario. We'll enable the UI for this in a follow-up release.

That's it for this release. Keep that feedback coming folks!
